Sunday School

Did you know the hymn, I Love to Tell the Story, is known as the Sunday School teacher’s hymn? It was written by A. Katherine Hankey. This faithful woman organized Sunday School classes for all sectors of society in London, England. Her work had a profound influence on this society and led young people to become Christian workers in various vocations. In addition, she wrote books to help others to teach God’s word.  All profits from these sales went to foreign missions so the Word of God could be taught abroad.  I Love to Tell the Story was written during a time of serious illness along with other poems.  It was so important to her that the Good News continued to be taught and shared even in illness.

Like Ms. Hankey, Immanuel Church is eager to teach and share the good news of Jesus and His love.  Our Sunday School ministry is for children, age 3 and up. If you would like to register your child; please contact Cindy Hager. You can reach her by phone at 913-6824 or you may leave a message with the church office at 652-4240.

Quilters group 1

Immanuel Quilters

Immanuel Quilters are a dedicated group of people that gather to make quilts to be given to the needy both locally and abroad.  Many quilts are donated to injured veterans while in the line of duty of the United States military.  The group meets in the church fellowship hall Sept-May on the first Wednesday of the month at 9 am.  Quilting supplies and cash donations are always welcome for this valuable ministry.
